Learn About This Exciting Treatment
We know that your time is valuable and your life is busy. When we recommend a dental treatment that requires multiple visits, we never want the time needed in our office to cause you to delay receiving treatment. Dental decay will only continue to deteriorate until treatment is received. We do our best to provide treatments that can be completed in a timely manner. One such treatment is same-day dental crowns. Read on to learn more about this treatment and how it is beneficial to you.
What are E4D Same-Day Crowns?
We know your time is valuable, so we offer E4D same-day crowns. At other practices, a crown procedure is typically completed in more than one office visit. After the first visit, the patient leaves with a temporary crown that may not match their other teeth and could easily fall out. Patients then have to return weeks later to see if the permanent tooth fits properly. If there is an issue with that tooth, there is an even longer waiting period while it is sent back to the lab to be fixed.
We are able to complete the entire treatment in one office visit, making goopy impressions and temporary crowns a thing of the past. Digital scans are taken of your teeth, and then your customized crown is created right in our office. Just as with the dental crowns that take weeks, the final product is a custom cover for your tooth that is made to fit over your existing tooth and colored to match your surrounding teeth.
Who is a Candidate for E4D Same Day Crowns?
A dental crown can save a tooth that is severely damaged. It is often one of the last treatment options offered before a tooth extraction is needed. This is one of the reasons we strongly encourage our patients to receive their recommended treatments in a timely manner. We may recommend a same-day crown to:
- Fix a loose or worn-down tooth
- Hold together a cracked tooth
- Support a tooth with a large cavity
- Mask misshapen or discolored teeth
- Protect a weak, decayed tooth
- Complete a dental implant
