Caring For Your Teeth This Summer
We hope you are having a great summer! We love hearing from our patients about all of their summer plans. Whether you are traveling, spending time with friends and family, heading to the beach, or just relaxing at home, our area is the place to be during the summer months. We want to share some important reminders to ensure your teeth and gums remain healthy during this summer and into the fall and beyond:
Schedule Your Oral Hygiene Examination Today
If it has been more than six months since your last visit to our office for an examination and cleaning, now is a great time to schedule your next appointment. School is out, many activities are postponed until fall, and work schedules may be a bit lighter, making it the perfect time to visit our office for a cleaning or even a treatment we recommended. Just as a reminder, we are now treating children starting at the age of 3. You can bring your entire family together!
Plan For Travel
Do you have any upcoming travel plans? If so, we encourage you to pack any supplies and materials you may need during your time away. This includes toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, and mouthwash. Also, be sure to bring extra supplies. Depending on your travel destination and mode, it may be difficult to find extra supplies if you need them. Remember to pack any orthodontic materials, nightguards, or oral appliances as well.
Be Mindful of Sugary Foods and Beverages
In summer, sweet treats and delicious beverages are plentiful. Please enjoy sugary treats in moderation. You might be surprised at how quickly sugar can build up on your teeth and lead to cavities and even gum disease. We also want to remind you to continue brushing and flossing your teeth as usual.
If you are located in Spotswood, NJ or the surrounding area and need to schedule an oral hygiene examination for yourself or a loved one, be sure to contact our office. Our caring and devoted team can schedule any appointments you may need. As always, if you experience any problems or complications with your oral health, we would love to help. We hope you enjoy the rest of your summer and look forward to seeing you soon!
