You know dental care is important (which is why you’re my patient), but you still dread your appointments. You’re good about brushing and flossing, but despite that, you could get a cavity. If you get a cavity, that means the noises, vibrations, and heat of the drill. But what if I told you there was something that would completely eliminate your fears? Something that would make your semi-annual appointments actually enjoyable? Great news: It’s real and it will change the way you feel about dentistry. What is it?
Airbrush Technology
Most people associate the word airbrush with doctoring up pictures in fashion magazines, but I associate it with state-of-the-art dentistry. Dental airbrush can do everything a drill can do, only without the things you hate the most. No eardrum-piercing whirring noise, no jaw-quaking vibrations, and no heat-causing friction.
Airbrush uses an air-pressured stream of miniscule aluminum oxide particles to remove decay. Best of all? It is painless and rarely requires anesthetic. The airbrush nozzle is narrow, so it allows for precise removal at the targeted site; this results in a treatment that is far less invasive than a drill.
Only the Best
Airbrush technology is just one of the ways I do whatever I can to improve your experience at my office and opinion of dentistry in general. Whether I use it to prepare your tooth for bonding or tooth-colored fillings, I know it will do just that.
The next time you have an appointment, there’s no need to feel dread. While I always hope your teeth are in perfect condition, if they’re not, at least I can provide a more comfortable experience for you.
Best,
Dr. Sorkin
