Preventing Future Health Problems
The past several months in New Jersey have been anything but easy. We have had to completely change our way of life, adapting to the addition of wearing masks, the constant fluctuation of schools being in-person and virtual, and added hygiene procedures for work and daily life. Some are still feeling unsure of which appointments to maintain and which can be delayed. Continue reading to learn why dental treatment should never be delayed, especially during these uncertain times.
Don’t Delay Dental Treatment
Our message is very simple: do not delay dental treatment. Your oral health is more important than you realize, as it is a window into your overall health. When you visit our office for a routine cleaning and exam, we are doing more than just polishing your teeth and cleaning off plaque and tartar. We are inspecting your teeth, mouth, and gums for warning signs that something more severe might be on the horizon.
Your mouth reflects your overall health and many times shows warning signs before your body reveals symptoms. Diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and oral cancer can have oral signs like swollen gums, mouth sores, dry mouth, and excessive bad breath. Not to mention the costly repairs that might arise if dental decay is present and progresses with no treatment plan in place.
Your safety and well-being are our top priority. At all times, we use the highest level of precautions to keep you and our staff healthy and safe. In addition to all the safety measures we have in place, we have also added the Jade air purifier to clean, decontaminate, sterilize, and purify the air to give you an additional level of comfort when coming to our office.
With the start of 2021, it is time to reflect on your oral health over the past year. If you are located in the Spotswood, NJ area and have not had a dental cleaning and examination in over six months, it is time to give our office a call and schedule an appointment. We look forward to seeing you soon!
