One thing that many people love to do in the spring is spring cleaning. We think this concept is perfect for our patients as well. Spring Is the Best Time for a Cleaning
We encourage our child, teen, and most adult patients to visit our office every six months for an oral hygiene examination and cleaning. There are some adult patients who may need to visit us more often due to oral health complications such as gum disease. During these visits, we thoroughly clean your teeth by removing any plaque that has developed on or between the teeth and along the gumline. The longer plaque remains on the teeth, the greater the chance you have of developing decay and gum disease. Even if you have an excellent oral hygiene routine at home, we still recommend routine dental care in our office. You would be surprised how much plaque buildup you can have, even if you have excellent oral health.

Avoid a Dental Emergency
One of the reasons we are so passionate about routine dental care is to help our patients avoid dental emergencies. The longer you go between visits, the greater the chance you have of experiencing complications and problems with your oral health. Dental problems do not heal on their own and will continue to worsen until treatment is received.
